Swansea Installation

An enthusiastic gathering of Companions was present at the Masonic Hall, Swansea on the morning of Saturday 15th February to witness the Grand Summus, Most Distinguished Companion Andrew Sweeney, together with a team from Grand Senatus, install Right Distinguished Companion Keith Berwick Ferguson as Provincial Grand Summus for South Wales and Monmouthshire. This was in succession to the late Right Distinguished Companion Paul Botfield.


Following his Installation, Right Distinguished Companion Keith installed his Deputy, Distinguished Companion Allun Jones, and his Assistant Provincial Grand Summus, Distinguished Companion Eirian Jones. He then appointed and invested the remainder of his new team of Officers. Following the conclusion of the investiture, the Grand Summus promoted the Provincial Grand Recorder, Distinguished Companion Neil Matthews, to the rank of Past Grand Sword Bearer for the considerable amount of work he had performed in preparation for the day’s proceedings.
