The first major meeting at the new Masonic Centre in Bury St. Edmunds saw the Grand Summus, Most Distinguished Companion Andrew Sweeney, together with a team from Grand Senatus, constitute the Province of Suffolk on Tuesday 24th June 2014. The Province has three Consistories meeting at Ipswich, Framlingham and Bury St. Edmunds.

Following the Constitution ceremony, the Grand Summus then proceeded to install Right Distinguished Companion Dr. John Elmore as the first Provincial Grand Summus. The latter subsequently installed Distinguished Companion Brian Vickers as his Deputy and Distinguished Companion Cliff Arndt-Snelling as the Assistant Provincial Grand Summus. The remainder of the first Officers of the new Province were then appointed and invested.

At the conclusion of the proceedings in the Temple, the Companions enjoyed a pleasant lunch.
